Go Green PaperStone is made from post-consumer waste, recycled paper and petroleum-free resins. The resin, is made from raw materials like cashew nut shell liquid.. The paper is pressed with the resin and a formaldehyde-free dye under 5 tons of pressure. The result is a countertop that can hold up under much wear and tear. There are two series of recycled paper-based PaperStone products. The first, 'Original', is made from 50% post-consumer waste paper. The second, 'Certified', is made from 100% post-consumer waste paper. Paperstone has won numerous sustainability awards. It is available in fourteen beautiful colors and has a variety of uses both indoor and outdoor.
- An innovative countertop alternative
- A variety of colours to suit most design styles in the kitchen, bath or office.
- Colour is consistent through the entire thickness of product - from the natural colour of the paper and the pigments and dyes used in the manufacturing process.
- Color and brightness may vary from sheet to sheet, making each one unique.
- A mottled appearance due to the natural variation in the paper
- PaperStone will develop a seasoned appearance that is an inherent characteristic of the material. The aging process takes time and there will be deeper luster in areas of heavier use. Overall, it will appear softer and deeper in tone as it ages.
- PaperStone is resistant to heat and most stains
- Fabricates similar to hardwood
- Indoor and outdoor use
- Strength of steel, beauty of stone and warmth of wood
- Waterproof (we soaked a sample in water for two months, and it wasn't changed at all)
- Light sanding using a maroon or green scrub pad will provide a smooth finish that will also help preserve the surface integrity.
- Vertical application option such as toilet partitions, interior and exterior paneling, exterior cabinet work, and chair rails
